Created in the aftermath of the Woman, Life, Freedom movement, Ohne dich, muss (Bi to bayad / Without you, it has to) reflects on absence and necessity through the shifting imagery of the sky. Lyrics from a popular Farsi song are hand-appliquéd onto the textile, layering personal memory with collective resonance. The work unfolds as a fabric landscape where fragments of color, language, and material gesture toward both longing and endurance.Exhibited at Openstudio Exhibition 2023, Gerichtshöfe, Berlin.
